All,

This new release of the BASh Component includes 23 new methods,
including 2 new modules of code.

A new version of the Affix BASh document is now included.

The 4D Pack plugin is a required part of the BASh component. A copy
of version 6.7.1 of the plugin has been included with the BASh archive
for your convenience.

Please read the Developer documentation for installation instructions
for this release of the BASh component.

Contained in the BASh component archive is a copy of what we
affectionately call z_Libraries. Basically, the z_Library provides
documentation, containing in 4D methods, for all of our naming
conventions and code structure templates. The methods are contained
in a small Insider v6.7.x library which you can use to import directly
into your projects. At DSTi, no project exists without this
documentation; we suggest that your development efforts also always
include integrated developer documentation.

All total, the v1.5.7 release of the BASh component consists of 246
methods across 24 modules. The manual is almost 325 pages long and
still growing! And, hopefully, the next release will see significant
improvements in the manual as we now have a current copy of Adobe
FrameMaker...

And, like all previous releases, all of the code within the BASh
component is ready to use immediately. There are no compiler issues
to be concerned about; all of the variables are typed in compiler
methods for even the most stringent 4D developers. Just install the
component in your structure and start calling the methods within it.
It is _really_ that simple!

Obviously, this is still a work in progress. Watch for announcements
about updates which will become available, as we are continually
working on finishing off the documentation and adding new features to
the BASh component.

For those that have already been using the BASh component for all of
their new 4D project work, you will soon be able to take advantage of
many other tools we will soon be making available. Within the week
there should be a public beta available of a major new offering from
Deep Sky Technologies, Inc. And, this new offering requires the use
of BASh. So, you already have a "leg up" on the competition.

As you have come to expect from high quality software development
firms, Deep Sky Technologies, Inc., is committed to providing the
support, service, quality, and compatibility which any modern software
developer requires in their tools' vendors. Feel free to contact me
at any time if you have any questions or problems with the software in
the BASh component. And, of course, feature requests are always
welcome.
