This beta release of the BASh Component, v1.6.3b01, carbon versions of
the affix document, compatible with the latest betas of 4D v6.8.x.

This is the first step in the carbonization of all of the DSTi
components. Versions of the components will be made available for 4D
v6.7.x and 4D v6.8.x compatibility, including carbonized affix
documents.

Currently, 4D Partners have access to the latest betas of 4D v6.8.x,
the carbonized version of the 4D product line. When running with 4D
v6.8.x, the enclosed .4CX versions of the plugins and components
should be used instead of the standard .4DX plugins and affix
documents.

The documentation for this release has not been updated. This means
that the feature additions, though available completely in the
component, are documented only in the Comments pane of the Explorer
window in the Design environment.

Initial tests at DSTi indicate the component functions properly under
4D v6.8.x, either running under MacOS 9 or MacOS X.

Please test out your current applications using BASh and report any
problems with the component to DSTi. We expect the release cycle for
the 4D v6.8.x versions of all of our components to be completed by the
end of February, 2002.
