Vero Beach, FL - Friday, September 16th, 2005: Deep Sky Technologies, Inc., today announced the release of Drain0 v1.0.0 for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. Drain0 is a filter for Eudora Internet Mail Server (EIMS and EIMS X) to cleanse email of invalid byte values, correcting many problems that exist with different mail user applications (MUAs) that fail with, for instance, NULL bytes. Drain0 allows for substituion byte values to be inserted into emails for NULL bytes and stray linefeeds. By default, these byte values are replaced by spaces, though within the preferences of Drain0 individual functionality for these different byte values can be enabled and disabled, and the substitution byte values can be specified distinctly for each. No longer will users retrieving email from an EIMS server have "stuck" email when Drain0 is in use. Features in Drain0 The Drain0 filter has the following features and options that can be easily customized for individual needs:
All of the functionality available within the Drain0 filter is customizable to match the exact needs of the EIMS administrator. |
